Funny- The other night I pulled out an art magazine from January 2006, looking for an article on a museum I was interested in doing a post about. Instead, I came across a Krøyer self-portrait in a private collection that blew me away. The self-portrait was from 1902, after his palette had become more impressionistic. Just beautiful; like a bluer Sorolla. I decided I should do a Krøyer post in the near future. The next day, James Gurney did a post on Krøyer. Seems like Krøyer is on everyone's mind these days.
I don't know of any specific books on Krøyer. I'm sure there must be a few out there on him and the Skagan boys, but I don't own any of them. If I end up with one, I'll let you know.
Harmony in Blue: P.S. Krøyer's Poetic Paintings from the 1880's
P.S. & Marie Krøyer: Portraits of a Marriage
P.S. Krøyer by Claus Jacobsen
P.S. Krøyer by Peter Michael Hornung
There are also many collections which feature Krøyer's works. The self-portrait I mentioned is in the Loeb collection, of which there was a book printed in 2005. The former ambassador to Denmark, Loeb, has amassed a large collection of Danish art, including Mønsteds.
You can find a lot of these books at nordicartbooks.com, and also on abebooks. I can't swear by the quality of any of these books, since I've never seen any of them in person. (I ordered Harmony in Blue- If you can wait, I'll let you know if the exhibition catalog is a good one to own).

Thanks Matt!!
Yeah, if you find that "Harmony in Blue" is a good purchase, let me know. I'd really like to have a good Kroyer book in my collection!
You always have the best info.
Thanks!
