The upcoming Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors Auction will be in previews later this month at Christie's Rockefeller Plaza location. The hours for viewing the lots are January 23rd and 24th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, January 25th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and January 26th, 27th, and 28th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There appears to be several nice paintings in this sale, including two paintings by William Bouguereau (Lots 45 and 303).

The upcoming Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors Auction will be in previews later this month at Christie's Rockefeller Plaza location. The hours for viewing the lots are January 23rd and 24th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM, January 25th from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and January 26th, 27th, and 28th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. That is quite the creepy Bouguereau. I almost hope it doesn't get bought.
The boy? There was another painting of a boy by Bouguereau at Christies a few years ago. It had the same feel. I much prefer his paintings of women.
I will take the creepy Bouguereau! lol..seriously, what a lovely batch of paintings!
