This Saturday, June 19th, Art Studio Secrets will be hosting another installment of its webcast demonstration series, this time with Chattanooga's adopted daughter, Mia Bergeron. From 12:00 to 5:00 PM (EST), the talented young Bergeron will be presenting a FIVE hour demonstration of portrait painting from life using techniques she learned during her study at the Charles H. Cecil Studios in Florence, Italy. For more information, or to register for the webcast, contact Cindy Procious at Art Studio Secrets. The cost of the event is only $20.

As well as being a favorite at each year's Portrait Society of America competition, Mia has earned several awards for artistic distinction from other institutions. She was a finalist in American Artist Magazine's 2007 cover competition, was just recently announced as as one of Southwest Art Magazine's prestigious "21 Under 31," and in March, she became one of Portraits, Inc.'s newest and youngest represented painters. In 2009, she was also awarded a grant by a non-profit group called CreateHere, which is enabling her to use her portraits of local residents to convey the diversity and culture of her hometown of Chattanooga.

Art Studio Secrets next webcast will be June 27th, during which artist Dorian Vallejo will give a two-hour drawing demonstration, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM (EST). The cost is $10. For more information, contact Lisa Gloria.
