Wyeth, Tom Lovell, Pruett Carter, Harry Anderson, Saul Tepper, Harold von Schmidt, Howard Terpning, Dean Cornwell, and many, many more. If you cannot make it to the sale previews, there is some consolation; the catalog is available for viewing online, and Heritage Auctions offers some of the best, large-file images on the internet. Either way, electronically or in person, the lots in this sale are worth the look.

You can view the lots in person from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, May 1st; from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM both Monday and Tuesday May 2nd and 3rd; and from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, May 4th.

Thanks for posting this Matthew. Being an illustration major myself - I always love seeing this type of work, especially in it's hay day! I often notice that Leyendecker employs multiple techniques. It seems to me that he was SO good that he mixed things up a lot just to keep from getting bored. Thanks again...
