A painting from Richard Schmid's early days in Connecticut is up for sale at Shannon's Fine Art Auctioneers.  The painting, titled "Sandra," was painted in 1962, and is inscribed on the reverse, "Gaylordsville, Conn., painted in the fields below the studio."  It is part of the American & European Fine Art Sale to be held October 27th, and is estimated to fetch between $10,000 and $15,000.
