Opening Saturday: Julio Reyes

Julio Reyes' first solo exhibition with Arcadia Gallery opens Saturday night in New York City with an artist's reception beginning at 4:00 PM.  Twenty of this talented young man's' drawings and paintings will be on view, beginning tomorrow, and lasting through November 23rd, in a show that promises to be one of the best of the season.

"The effect from copper is that you get the warmth of the metal playing a
part in the values and temperature of the painting," says Reyes.  "It gives
me a whole new way to tell a story.  And I like to leave the surface broken
so that you can see the copper shining through.  It's a precious metal and
is just beautiful to paint on."¹

Arcadia Gallery is located at 51 Greene Street, between Grand and Broome Streets in SoHo. It is open 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, and from 11 AM to 6 PM Saturday and Sunday.
